Announcement: Month of recess (May 2014)

Your Majesty, members of the Ziu, fellow Talossans,

As you all may know, there are a few issues that we are facing at the moment. The most recent clark has sparked some discussion about the interpretation of the results. The next clark would normally start in two days, but it still not clear what the results of the previous clark were and not much time is left for proposing bills for next clark. At the same time, it looks like our Minister of Finance has resigned over the failing of the coin bill, which means the governments plan for producing coins has come at least to a temporary halt. We will need to find a replacement and consider our plan on this issue. These and other issues require some sorting out.

Therefore it would seem wise to this government to declare the month of May a month of recess, which means the 4th clark will start on the first of June.

This does obviously not mean that this government will rest the next month. Instead we will be working hard towards coming up with new legislation and making progress on the projects we are working on. This decision will hopefully also give the MCs in the civil service committee some time to focus on finding a candidate for the Commissioner of the Civil Service.

On this special day, We are pleased and proud to act on the advice of Our Squirrel King of Arms, his pursuivants, and the other members of the College of Arms to affirm and announce publicly the Royal honours granted to two worthy citizens of Our Kingdom.

WHEREAS there have come before Us two honourable and dutiful citizens of Talossa requesting Our favour, which loyal subjects have humbly petitioned that We, by virtue of the Royal power conferred only unto Us, might grant and confer unto them, and their lawful heirs, a coat of arms; and

WHEREAS We derive from Our Royal grace and favour both the commission and the power to confer achievements of arms as a gift from Us, and to issue in such matters a Royal proclamation with the Great Seal of the Kingdom; and

WHEREAS We, in Our innate Royal power and grace, have always been inclined to provide for the subjects of the Kingdom of Talossa and to confer unto Our loyal subjects Royal favours on the feast days of the Kingdom, and

WHEREAS We are particularly inclined toward these citizens, whom We have always found ready in the service of Our Kingdom; now

Voastra Maxhestà,

As you may have read on the forum already, this is the second time this term that our Attorney General has resigned. I can truly say that I regret his decision, but again it seems there is little choice other than to respect it. I would like to thank S:reu Tímoþi Txec Max (Tim) Asmourescu for his willingness to serve as AG and also for the work he has done during his short term in office.

I, again, also have good news. We have been able to find a very good replacement, who is a rising star in the world of Talossan politics and legal affairs. It just so happens that this person also managed to get admitted to the Royal Talossan Bar today, so the timing seems perfect.

Therefore I, Glüc da Dhi, Seneschal del Regipäts Talossan, with all duly vested authority and stuff, hereby recommend that Your Majesty appoint:
